The Fabrication :

Either blown or sculpted, each unique creation made by Loïc Beaumont-Tremblay and his team is made with passion, in the rules of glass art.

We work with borosilicate glass, often used for specialized scientific equipment, telescope mirrors, and a wide variety of special applications due to its resistance to thermal shock, impact and so that its lightness. However, it needs to be worked at extremely high temperatures to be made workable to perfection.

The working technique of boro glass requires a lot of dexterity and a strong synchronization of movements learned with time and patience.

Once the piece is complete, it must be placed in a computer controlled kiln that provides controlled cooling, ranging from 8 to 30 hours, depending on the final thickness of the creation and the amount of glass used in the room, in order to remove any residual stress in the work piece.
